Bold Stories Across Every Genre
Some stories demand to be thrillers. Others unravel as comedies, dystopias, or slow-burn mysteries. I don’t write to fit a genre—I write to follow the story, wherever it decides to lead.
I’m Kiefer Cook, a novelist and screenwriter who doesn’t play by the rules. Whether it’s a post-war manhunt through a fractured London (The Cure), a cult thriller buried in the English countryside (The Apostles), or a sitcom about a chaotic driving school (Braking Bad), I create stories that cut through the noise... bold, grounded, and built to last.
My work often begins with a question; what if? What happens when the cure for cancer lives in one man’s blood? When a peaceful community is built on something darker? When a forgotten holiday park becomes a home for misfits who return year after year?
I write with instinct, not algorithm. Each project is built from character first, then layered with emotion, tension, and meaning. I’m less interested in fitting into trends and more concerned with making you feel something you didn’t expect to.
I write because something keeps me up at night - and I want it to keep you up, too.
“I don’t write to fit a market—I write what keeps me up at night.”
